Frame Documentary is Australia’s first and only organisation dedicated to supporting the next generation of creative minds to enhance documentary storytelling techniques through the use of emerging technologies.

We support creatives across disciplines who are interested in the merger of non-fiction stories with creative technology.

An organisation responding to the unique conditions of creative work at the intersection of art and technology.

Our Mission

Across the globe, new technologies and platforms are changing the way (and are being changed by the way) audiences consume media.

With the emergence of new platforms, there also emerges an opportunity - to place storytelling at the heart of next-generation immersive technologies and experiences, and in doing so, engineer a more diverse, sustainable, and innovative creative industry.

Recognising this, Frame Documentary is an organisation built around the four pillars of connection, celebration, capability and capital. Our mission is to shift the centre of gravity towards a vibrant and sustainable documentary ecosystem that enables creators to push the art, form and language through new technologies.
